Frustrated With Baby Furniture

Well, to make a long story short, I had to cancel our order for baby furniture. I'm not going to give the name of the company just yet as they did charge our credit card but the order has been delayed for 4 more weeks due to a "problem" with one of the furniture pieces. I've learned to trust my gut, and my gut was yelling at me to "back out now", so I called out credit card company first to find out if they charged us yet, which they did. She went through what I would need to do in case I would need to dispute the charge if the company doesn't credit me back. I then called the company to tell them that I'd like to cancel the order. They were pretty fast on the other end, saying my order number was now my cancellation order number and that it would take 10-15 days to get the credit back. I told them the credit card company said it would take 3-5 days, but they were firm on the 10-15 window. Fine - if I don't see a credit back by April 8th they will get an earful and I will make sure the charge will go into dispute.

Once this is all straightened out I'll make damn sure to let you all know who it is because I want to limit any business they get in the future.

Right now we're fine - we have a basionette (sp?) and we're using Liz's dresser as a makeshift changing station. But in a month or two, we'd like to have him in his own room, but we have enough time to shop around locally and see what's available.
